This Privacy Policy describes how Jovvo (“Jovvo,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our missed-call text-back service, provided on behalf of the home service businesses that use it (each a “Client Business”).
Information we collect
When a consumer calls a Client Business’s phone number and the call is not answered, we collect: the consumer’s phone number, the content of any text message conversation that follows, and information the consumer provides in that conversation (such as the type of job, urgency, and address). We also collect business contact information submitted by Client Businesses signing up for the service.
How we use this information
We use this information solely to operate the text-back service: to respond to the consumer’s own missed call, gather basic job details, and pass that information to the relevant Client Business so they can follow up.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging originator opt-in data will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Consumer phone numbers collected through this service are used only to operate the text-back conversation with that consumer and to deliver their information to the Client Business they contacted.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on the conversation. A consumer typically receives one initial text after a missed call, followed by a small number of follow-up messages (generally fewer than 12) needed to gather job details, and, if applicable, one final confirmation message after an opt-out request. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out
Consumers may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. A single confirmation message will be sent, and no further messages will follow.
Data retention and security
Conversation records are retained by the Client Business for follow-up purposes and are stored using industry-standard safeguards. We do not retain data longer than necessary to provide the service.
Cookies and website tracking
Our website does not use cookies, analytics tools, or tracking pixels. Simply visiting our site does not identify you, and we do not send marketing messages based on website visits. Information is only collected when you choose to contact us or sign up for the service.
